Admission Process

1. Schedule a tour, attend an Open House or a Visiting Day.
2. Complete an application for admission.
3. Participate in a classroom visit.
4. Participate in a parent interview (both parents must be present) with Admissions Chair and the classroom teacher.

Online Tuition Payment In addition to traditional payment plans, Tidewater School offers FACTS e-Cashier for online tuition payments. Parents can schedule monthly, bi-monthly, or semi-annual payments online on our FACTS e-Cashier page.

Extended School Care

Enrollment Information

After acceptance and the return of a signed contract, you will be given and enrollment packet that includes forms for you to fill out and submit before your child begins school. The packet also includes other relevant information about the school.

Prior to your child's first day of school, you must complete and submit the required forms included in your enrollment packet. In accordance with state requirements, you must give the school a copy of your child's immunization record and a completed emergency contact form.

If your child is enrolling for the coming school year, your child's teacher will schedule a home visit.

Before school begins, your family will be invited to an Open House where you can meet other families and children in the class as well as receive and review the Parent Handbook.

Payments and Fees

In order for Tidewater School to meet its financial obligations tuition must be paid in a timely manner. Tuition not paid on an annual schedule may be paid semi-annually or monthly through the FACTS Tuition Management Program. Please contact the Business Office for any questions about tuition and fees.

There is a one-time $300 fee for the Capital Improvement Fund for newly enrolling families.

Other Expenses

Expenses such as special services (e.g., testing, tutoring, outside consultations), which the school does not supply, are not included in the tuition and must be assumed by the parents.

Tuition Assistance

The School values diversity of all kinds, included economic, and offers tuition assistance to qualified families. While the School cannot offer tuition assistance to Early Childhood children, it does offer tuition assistance to students in the elementary grades. Although funding is limited for tuition assistance, the Tuition Assistance Committee does its best to meet the needs of individual families.

The School uses FACTS as the initial step for tuition assistance applications. You may apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com.

Sibling Discount

A five percent (5%) tuition discount is applied to each enrolled in the school. However, students receiving tuition assistance are not eligible for the sibling discount.

Fundraising and Volunteering

Tuition alone cannot meet all of Tidewater School's operating expenses. We rely on fundraising activities, volunteers and generous contributions. Parents are encouraged to participate in as many ways as they can to support the school.
