Admission Process
1. Attend an information session, Waldorf Welcome or open house. Schedule a tour.
2. Complete an application for admission

3. Participate in a classroom visit.
4. Participate in a parent interview (both parents must be present) with a member of the Admissions Committee and the classroom teacher.

Lighthouse Parent/Child Programs
Ages 18 months – 4 years
1 day per week, 6 – 10 week sessions, fees vary depending on session.

Grade 1: age 6 by June 1

Acceptance Information
Upon written notification of acceptance, you will complete the contract and submit a non-refundable $300 tuition deposit to secure your child's space.
Prior to your child's first day of school, complete and submit required forms included in your enrollment packet. These include a copy of your child's immunizations record and a completed emergency contact information form. Immunization records can no longer be faxed, they must be mailed or hand delivered according to the privacy laws.
If your child is enrolling for the coming school year, your child's teacher will schedule a home visit.
Before school begins, your family will be invited to an Open House where you can meet other families and children in the class as well as receive and review the Parent Handbook.

Tuition:
- Annually: July 1
- Semi-annually: July 1/December 1
- Monthly (10 equal installments) 1st of each month beginning July 1
In order for Tidewater School to meet its financial obligations tuition must be paid in a timely manner. Semi-annual and monthly tuition is paid through the FACTS Tuition Management Program.
Aftercare/Extended Day

Other Expenses
Expenses such as special services (e.g., testing, tutoring, outside consultations), which the school does not supply, are not included in the tuition and must be assumed by the parents.Fundraising, Volunteerism and Tuition Assistance
Tuition alone cannot meet all of Tidewater School's operating expenses. We rely on fundraising activities, volunteers and generous contributions. Parents are encouraged to participate in as many ways as they can to support the school. Parents may apply for up to 25% of their child's full-time tuition. Tuition assistance is awarded based upon relative need. Please contact the office as soon as possible for a tuition assistance application; we cannot guarantee availability of funds for all who apply.Schedule a tour of our school.
